Lead actors of the Bollywood movie 'Mubarakan', now playing at theatres in the UAE, visited Thumbay Hospital - Dubai, one of the leading academic hospitals of the region owned and operated by Thumbay Group, on Sunday, 30th July 2017. Bollywood celebrities Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana De Cruz and Athiya Shetty were welcomed at the hospital by Mr. Thumbay Moideen - Founder President of Thumbay Group, Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay - Vice President of the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group, and other members of the hospital management.
Touring the hospital, the actors commended the hospital for the excellent facilities for women wellness and child care. They were briefed on the hospital's multidisciplinary team of leading physicians and healthcare professionals for women wellness, dedicated to offering all the health care services a woman requires at every stage of her life. Visiting the hospital's modern Royal Suite, the celebrities greeted a newborn and congratulated the proud parents.
The celebrities were also impressed with the hospital's Level 3 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), an advanced facility manned by an expert team including Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurses, And Respiratory Therapists available 24/7, capable of caring for very small or very sick newborn babies. Being a Level 3 NICU, the facility is well-equipped to accept prematurely born neonates at 24 weeks and above.
Explaining the facilities at Thumbay Hospital's NICU, Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay said, "If a baby is delivered prematurely, then the delivery and neonatal care of the baby must take place at a tertiary care hospital, for better outcome and future health of the baby. We have a well-equipped Level 3 NICU, and the hospital is staffed with expert Gynecologists, Pediatricians and Neonatologists capable of handling all cases of pre-term pregnancies which are 24-weeks and above.
Moreover, Thumbay Hospital follows a policy of 'minimal handling of the newborn' with regard to prematurely delivered babies, meaning minimal intervention in case the baby is born healthy."
The actors also experienced the Marhaba Lounge, a unique offering from Thumbay Hospitals which delivers personalized services and fast-tracks patients' requirements including registration formalities, consultation, examination/diagnosis, procedures, documentation, billing etc., requiring minimal waiting times.
