Abu Dhabi Plan is a strategy to focus on up-lifting social-economic development, infrastructure, environment, security, justice, the safety sector, and government affairs.
The plan, which is a reflection of the legacy of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as it represents a strategic blueprint designed to guide the growth and development of Abu Dhabi, will lay the foundations for a new Abu Dhabi.
The strategy was discussed at a high-level forum attended by Shaikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council; Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Crown Prince Court and Executive Council Member; and Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; in the presence of ADEC members and top government officials.
"This plan, developed in cooperation with 65 government entities, has 25 key objectives divided into five sectors of government work such as social and economic development, infrastructure and environment, security, justice, safety, and the government affairs sectors to ensure the continuous development of Abu Dhabi," said an official briefing to over 1,400 government employees, by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, at Adnec on Tuesday night.
These objectives are to be achieved through a series of 83 programs and projects, continuously monitored and evaluated based on performance indicators and periodic reports, in order to ensure smooth progress in the implementation of Abu Dhabi Plan, so as the emirate significantly benefits from the same.
The Abu Dhabi Plan, which is considered the translation and updating of the policy agenda of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, aims to achieve the vision of Abu Dhabi by adopting the long-term government objectives and associated programs, as well as the key indicators to monitor the achievement of these objectives at the government level.
Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council attended a Ramadan forum organised by the general secretariat of the Executive Council for Abu Dhabi government entities and departments employees.
Shaikh Hazza was briefed during the forum on the latest developments regarding the Abu Dhabi Plan and the details of its journey towards achieving the vision of the emirate consisting in a confident and secure society and a sustainable and competitive economy. He toured the Abu Dhabi Plan exhibition, which highlights the journey of the 'Development of Abu Dhabi Plan' and its key phases of execution.
The exhibition also presents the most important projects of Abu Dhabi Plan and what it represents for the various segments of the society through displaying a family story, youth story, and tourists and investors story.
Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, chairman of the Executive Office asked the employees to redouble their efforts to meet the challenges and turn them into opportunities to support the development of our ambitious plans, and where the Abu Dhabi plan comes to constitute a milestone in the development process at the level of Abu Dhabi, the UAE in general.
