The Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) in Abu Dhabi will soon start issuing licences for property industry professionals who have obtained necessary training.
Developers, brokers, auctioneers, assessors, surveyors and managers of community common areas need training, which will be provided by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET).
Yousef Al Kuwaiti, director of regulations, land and real estate registration, Department of Municipal Affairs, said the new Real Estate Regulatory Law stipulated a grace period of 90 days.
The training programmes provide professionals with knowledge in accordance with provisions of the Real Estate Regulatory Law. They also ensure the enforcement of the new law and that workers perform their duties and responsibilities in an optimal way.
The DMA and ACTVET signed a cooperation agreement which called for the development of tailor-made training programmes to uplift the skills of property industry professionals.
