Acer launches new Aspire L200

DUBAI— Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. launched the Aspire L200 Living Centre in the Middle East yesterday. According to IDC's latest figures, Acer has increased its leading position across the AGCC as the vendor of choice for consumers and business users with a market share in the UAE by more than 22 per cent in the notebook sector and achieved 100 per cent growth in its range of products in 2004.

The L200 removes the need for multiple electronics devices in the home, delivering increased productivity, creativity and entertainment when you want it, how you want it.

Philip Ashkar, Acer's Middle East Sales and Marketing Director , told Khaleej Times, “ This new product comes after the launch of LCD televisions in July and this device will strengthen Acer's presence in the region. The Aspire L200 Living centre is for the digital home and will play a major role in our home entertainment. ’’

Regarding the price and facilities, he said: “The price of this new Living Centre is around Dh5499 but the facilities are more as the device makes it possible to store all one's media in one place, so that a user can enjoy music, photos, television , movies, sport, the internet and more, and all accessible through one, easy-to-use interface."
