ADMA-OPCO awards $370m EPC contract to NPCC

The project was approved earlier by the Supreme Petroleum Council and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC on behalf of the partners.

The objective of the project is to increase processing capabilities of associated gas at Lower and Upper Zakum Fields to up to 440 MMSCFD in order to cope with future oil production increase.

The project consists of a major platform with 2 Gas dehydration trains and the related compression and power generation turbines. The expected total weight of the platform with all equipment on board is in the range of 7000 tonnes.

Detailed Engineering Design and Procurement of the critical items will be managed by Technip while all the fabrications of the jackets and the assembly of the equipment will be done in NPCC fabrication yard in Mussafah. The project was described to be a strategic milestone being linked to the plans for increasing production mainly of Lower Zakum.

The dry gas will be integrated to the gas injection schemes or the offshore gas supply network.
