The new mall reaffirms the Ajman Holding's long-standing commitment to its home market, creating direct and indirect job opportunities.
Ajman Holding has announced that it will be launching Mirkaaz, a new shopping destination that is expected to attract over one million visitors when it opens to the public.
The mall will feature over 100 shops, a family entertainment area, botanical gardens, a health & fitness centre, and a hypermarket. Mirkaaz will be the first mall in the UAE to feature a sprawling Atrium Roof and is being built on one million square feet of land. In line with the ambitious Ajman 2021 initiative, the new mall reaffirms the Ajman Holding's long-standing commitment to its home market, creating direct and indirect job opportunities.
"Mirkaaz is closely aligned to the government's vision for the future. Its development has been based upon the leadership's directives. By providing sustainable development and a green economy to the citizens, Mirkaaz will support Ajman's and the UAE's goals of becoming among the world's best retail and entertainment destination," said Yahya Al Jasmi, managing director of Ajman Holding.
The new mall will also see Ajman Holding introduce new cinema experiences with massive screens, making Mirkaaz the ideal location for all the big-budget film releases throughout the year. In addition, the mall will feature family entertainment centres, advanced healthcare clinics, luxurious fashion brands and a lush botanical garden. Combining all new aesthetics and innovations, Mirkaaz will provide well-planned and convenient facilities for a wide variety of businesses and potential tenants are already requesting leasing spaces.
"The name 'Mirkaaz' is a traditional Arabic word describing a meeting place for opinion leaders, friends and family, where they can engage in meaningful conversations amid a pleasant ambience. The mall will offer a unique, all-encompassing consumer experience where people can enjoy the best of both worlds. Within this pleasant environment, visitors will be enthralled by authentic Emirati culture in the form of shops that are decorated in old market style, while promoting local talent and entrepreneurs," added Al Jasmi.
With more than 3.5 million tourists expected to visit Ajman and 45 new accommodation units to be set up in the emirate, Mirkaaz will be the optimal shopping area for families, youth, professionals, affluent singles, business owners and investors.
Strategically located at the juncture of Sharjah and Ajman, and only minutes away from the Dubai International airport, the shopping destination will be easily accessible via Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. Construction of the mall is expected to complete by 2019.
