Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, successfully completed the "Fit and Fab" programme for all its employees, which aims to promote the employees' health and wellness that resulted in a happier and more productive working environment.
The programmes included a four-week fitness training conducted in the hotel's gym where a weigh-in was held every week at the health club. The training ended in a final weigh-in which declared the employees who ranked as the top three winners.

By conducting these programmes the company was able to build self-confidence in employees, make them more conscious of their well-being, and put high regard on the importance of doing physical activities to one's health. They also had a chance to develop a sense of camaraderie among co-workers.

After a month-long sweat and beating the gym, the winners were announced at the monthly celebrations where engineering department was hailed as the winning team with a total weight loss of 6.9 per cent.
The first-place winner was Tushara Sampath from the engineering department with a weight loss of 12.3 per cent. Second place went to Manikanta Reddy from housekeeping with an 11.9 per cent weight loss, while third place was taken by Raymond Burayag from human resources with a 10.9 per cent weight loss. A trophy, certificate and cash prize were handed over to the winners.
