AbdulAziz Al Ghurair, CEO of Mashreq, has bagged the coveted Banking Business Leader of the Year trophy at the Gulf Business Awards 2016.
Now in its fifth year, the Gulf Business Awards ceremony lauded regional titans of the corporate world, recognising Gulf companies and business leaders across a wide spectrum of economic sectors.
"It's an absolute honour to be recognised as one of the business leaders of the year," said AbdulAziz Al Ghurair. "Since my early career, I have set to contribute to the mission of the UAE's banking landscape and to putting together a sound, well-functioning market, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. That being said my vision for our banking sector is manifested through ambitious plans like Vision 2021, in order to elevate the performance of all banks in the UAE and the industry at large."
