Al Habtoor Motors, the official dealer of Fuso in Saudi Arabia, has opened two new state-of-the-art vehicle sales, services and parts facilities in Riyadh at Khurais Road, Exit 30 and at Eastern Ring Road, Exit 17.
Michael Kamper, senior vice-president, Daimler Trucks Asia, opened Al Habtoor Motors Al Habtoor Motors' two new Fuso facilities in Riyadh. While Fuso delegates included Roland Schneider, president and CEO MENA; Ramesh, vice-president and head - customer services; and Muralidharan, regional sales manager. Al Habtoor Motors team comprised of Karl Hamer, managing director; Simon Monahan, country head KSA; and KSA senior management team.
Al Habtoor Motors is the second largest automotive distributor in the UAE with 80 per cent market share in the trucks segment with Fuso. The company is currently expanding its facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a SR 250 million investment.
Al Habtoor Motors has a customer-centric approach and is committed to providing outstanding customer service through its specialised service facilities which include mobile service vans that will service and repair Fuso trucks at the customer's premises. Genuine spare parts and servicing are also very competitively prices. Additionally, Al Habtoor Motors has also liaised with many financial institutions to offer flexible financing and leasing options for purchase of Fuso trucks and bodies.
Al Habtoor Motors has plans in the pipeline to expand its presence to 13 sites across the kingdom in two years to better serve the Fuso customer with the highest levels of customer care. It also plans to increase its workforce to 325 personnel by the end of 2016.
Speaking during the launch, Karl Hamer said: "We are delighted to make this investment in Saudi Arabia and we have been very impressed by the welcome we have received. We place very high importance on training our Saudi team to be the best in the industry and this will help us provide excellent service to the KSA truck market."
He added: "Fuso trucks is a division of Daimler and delivers the best of German design and Japanese manufacturing. With our UAE experience we are confident of dramatically increasing Fuso sales in Saudi Arabia and are proud of our brand new facilities and head office in Riyadh."
