The Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has awarded the main construction contract for Jawaher Saadiyat to Al Jaber Building, following a tendering process.
The contract is valued at Dh370 million and the project is on a 24-month delivery from mobilisation on site.
Located within the Saadiyat Beach District and overlooking views of the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Jawaher Saadiyat will feature 83 units comprising four- to six-bedroom villas and four-bedroom townhouses.
The villas' built-up area ranges from 636 to 1,268 square metres, and include two to four shaded car parks. The townhouses' built-up area ranges from 462 to 464 square metres and include two shaded car parks.
Residents will enjoy access to facilities, which include a security-controlled gate, landscaped grounds, games area, a gym, a children's playground, adults and children swimming pools, male and female prayer rooms, parking for residents and guests, a cafe, restaurant, mini mart, salon and a linear park.
Jawaher Saadiyat will offer its future residents proximity to some of Saadiyat's high-end hospitality, cultural, educational and retail offerings. These include five-star resorts and leisure facilities within the Saadiyat Beach District such as The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and the Saadiyat Beach Club. The project also sits within walking distance from Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, and in proximity to the Saadiyat Cultural District, home to Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first museum to open on the island.
Ali Majed Al Mansoori, TDIC's chairman, said: "TDIC has already received much interest from investors for Jawaher due to its prime location overlooking the Saadiyat golf course and the sense of exclusivity it offers to residents. We are confident that once completed, it will drive demand for our real estate offerings on Saadiyat even further."
Obaid Khaleefa Al Jaber Al Marri, chairman of Al Jaber Group, said: "Having previously developed more than 7,000 villas in numerous prestigious projects, Al Jaber Building is looking forward to join hands with TDIC to develop yet another great milestone."
TDIC has partnered with various banks to offer potential homeowners a range of financial offers. These include Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Al Hilal Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Finance, Union National Bank Mashreq Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.
