Automotive Logistics, DPA sign agreement

DUBAI — Automotive Logistics Middle East and Dubai Ports Authority (DPA) yesterday announced that they have signed a deal to create a world leading PDI ( Pre Delivery Inspection ) centre designed to transform Dubai into a regional hub for cars.

Due for completion in mid-2006 , the PDI Centre will provide a one-stop-shop for the hundreds of thousands of motor vehicles that currently arrive in Dubai each year .

"This purpose built facility, which will rival leading PDI centres such as Singapore, will streamline the way motor vehicles are currently handled and provide an unrivalled hub for motor vehicles in the region," said Jamal Majid bin Thaniah , CEO, Dubai Ports Authority.
