Dubai Quality Group (DQG) recently organised the ninth International Benchmarking Conference in Dubai. The event was organised in association with Global Benchmarking Network (GBN).
Dr Yousef Al Akraf, chairman of Dubai Quality Group, said: "Innovation and sustainability are key to a prosperous and profitable organisation. We are honoured to have a variety of speakers from around the world come together at this conference to share best practices and enlighten us to understand the global benchmarking landscape."
Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Service participated in the conference and highlighted its Mama ambulance service which focuses on the needs of pregnant women and consists of an all-women staff, from ambulance drivers to paramedics. It was a winner at the fourth International Best Practice Competition.
Dubai Statistics Centre focused on how it learns from best practices "to identify, develop and implement best practices in innovation management to improve its processes and services".
Finalists for the GBN's 2015 International Benchmarking Award presented their best practices at the conference.
The companies that participated were: YES Bank from India, Global Indian International School from Singapore, Al Jazeera Catering International from Abu Dhabi and The Medical City from the Philippines.
The Medical City from Philippines emerged the winner.
