The Dubai World Trade Centre will soon be home to thousands of shoppers lining up to scoop up the best deals of the year, as the Big Clearance Sale kicks off on September 1-3.
Taking place in Za'abeel Halls 1, 2 and 3, the three-day shopping event brings together some of the biggest retail groups under one roof, including Azadea Group, Apparel Group, M. H. Alshaya Co, Al Ghurair Retail, and Landmark Group, among others.
Shoppers can expect over 80 per cent off on a host of merchandise, ranging from fashion apparel and accessories, to cosmetics, perfumes, shoes, and more. Over 40 international brands such as Zara Home, Salsa, Old Navy, Juicy Couture, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfiger, Debenhams, Topshop, H&M, Springfield, and Steve Madden will be featured during the event.
Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), the event aims to further enhance Dubai's position as a year-round tourism destination offering unique leisure, shopping and entertainment experiences.
Saeed Mohammed Mesam Alfalasi, executive director of retail and strategic alliances at DFRE, said: "Now a permanent fixture in Dubai's retail calendar, The Big Clearance Sale, has helped to further reinforce Dubai's position as the leading shopping destination in the region."
He said this popular event provides the perfect environment for shoppers to snap up a bargain or two, while giving retailers an opportunity to hold a one-of-a-kind end-of-season sale prior to introducing their new collections.
"Following closely on the success of Dubai Summer Surprises, we believe The Big Spring Clearance Sale will help keep up the momentum in the retail sector," he said.
"The Big Clearance Sale is a reflection of the energy and inspiration of Dubai, offering amazing deals from world-famous brands, and we invite residents and visitors to make the most of the city's many shopping experiences, delivering great value, quality and style," he added.
Every visitor to the event will obtain a 'Visit and Win' raffle coupon that will be entered into a daily draw, offering two prizes of Dh5,000 in cash. Additionally, shoppers who spend Dh300 will be entitled to a 'Shop and Win' raffle coupon that will be entered into a draw on the last day of the event to win the grand prize of a Jeep Wrangler Sport. On its first two days, the event will run daily from 10am till midnight, and then open from 10am till 8pm on the final day.
