“Our association with the RetailME Awards exemplifies our commitment and our conviction in the event from the very start. It is a pleasure to reinforce our continued association with this innovative concept for the third time in a row. With the vision of being the region's leading retail developer, City of Arabia and RetailME Awards share great commonalities pertaining to excellence in retail at every level. We are pleased to have become an integral part of the RetailME Awards and plan to continue this partnership in the coming years” said Mustafa Galadari, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, City of Arabia.

“The Middle East region has become a strategic hub for the region's business and specifically the retail industry by boasting high revenues and promising growth forecasts. The RetailME awards are in recognition of all this and aim to honour the stellar performers who have set the benchmarks in performance excellence in business," he added.

Michael Panagiotakis, Events Director, Concept Events said: “The RetailME Awards are a platform to commemorate the region's exceptional performances in the retail sector. The 3rd annual awards seek to attract business achievers from across the region for a competition that grows consistently more challenging. And there is no better way to do this than honouring the pacesetters of the industry.”

“The retail industry in the Middle East is currently thriving and is rapidly scaling. According to RetailME magazine, by 2009, retail spend in Dubai's shopping malls alone is expected to exceed $7.6 billion and Abu Dhabi's by $1.9 billion.
