Danube Home has opened its largest and first bespoke store in Dubai for home solutions. The company spent Dh15 million on the fit-out of the 60,000 square feet store and an additional Dh25 million on stocks. "It's a team work, which was done in a record 75 days," said Adel Sajan, director of Danube Group.
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty - who inaugurated the showroom along with Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development - said the shop is a woman's paradise.
Danube is offering free design visualisation and 3D renderings by a team of interior designers. Customers can bring their floor plans and get interiors designed based on their individual taste and preferences.
"We want to make sure that customers know how the living area, bathroom, garden or kitchen would look even before they buy a product," added Sajan.
The global home improvement and home furnishing retail industry is expected to reach an estimated value of $2,291.6 billion by 2019. The major drivers of this industry are increasing new and existing home sales, increasing disposable income, rising consumer spending, remodelling and renovation of homes, urbanisation and an increasing middle class population.
Innovation in products, cost control, supply chain and logistics management will further drive this industry.
