Danube Properties on Tuesday launched yet another affordable housing project, Glamz Residence, in Al Furjan. Danube chairman Rizwan Sajan was confident that units would be sold within a month.
The Dh300 million project has fully furnished studios which start from Dh450,000, one-bedroom apartments from Dh780,000 and two-bedroom apartments from Dh1.1 million.
The project is scheduled for completion in September 2018 and will be offered under a monthly payment plan. Its studio is easily convertible into a one-bedroom apartment, according to the company.
"Glamz Residence is Danube's sixth project. Our first project, Dreamz, is on schedule for delivery whereas other projects - Glitz 1, Glitz 2, Glitz 3 and Starz - are all four to five months ahead of schedule. Every project to date stands 100 per cent sold out within a few weeks of their launches," Sajan told Khaleej Times.
Glamz Residence offers a selection of 418 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, each fitted with built-in modular kitchen, bathroom fittings by Milano, furniture and a European technology-enabled convertible sofa that makes way for a bed tucked into the wall. When released from the wall, the bed, helped by its hydraulic system, falls on the ground and is ready to sleep in.
The amenities in Glamz Residence include landscaped gardens, air-conditioned party hall-cum-kids play area, jogging track, paddle tennis court, paddle badminton court, barbecue deck, health club with steam room and sauna and swimming pool.
Sajan said: "We are delighted to announce the launch of Glamz Residence with an aim to encourage people to 'stop renting and start owning'. Once again, we have no doubts in our mind about the support and trust of customers who deserve more for less without compromising on quality."
Talking about affordable housing, he said: "When we started back in 2014 with our properties division and introduced a new segment altogether - 'affordable housing', we knew it would gain popularity over a period of time. However, the enthusiasm we witnessed at the launch of each of our projects until now has been overwhelming. To an extent, it has become a source of inspiration to innovate further. We are hopeful that Danube will continue to redefine the real estate sector in the region with every new launch."
Glamz is located in Al Furjan next to Discovery Gardens, two minutes away from the proposed Metro line, 10 minutes away from Al Maktoum International Airport and the Expo 2020 site. Set in 560 acres around Ibn Batuta Mall and adjacent to Discovery Gardens and The Gardens, Al Furjan will eventually feature over 4,000 homes.
