The applicant dashboard gives users more visibility and control on the progress of applications. It lists the jobs that the user has applied for, displays the number of applicants for that position and identifies whether the employer has read, shortlisted or rejected their CV, allowing users to track the progress of their submissions.
"We have received feedback from our users who conveyed the need for an increased level of transparency on the job application process. Through this free dashboard, the anxiety and ambiguity usually attached to online job applications will be reduced," said Mireia Mujika, senior product manager, dubizzle jobs.
When posting a job ad, employers are prompted to input two to four skills that are required for the position. The applicant then has the option of highlighting their strengths, should they match the listed skills, for an additional fee, after they apply for the job posting or through their new dashboard. This feature provides job seekers with a competitive advantage over others and helps employers find more serious applicants for the role.
"The 'highlight your application' feature provides recruiters with a very useful tool to streamline the recruitment process. Applications with highlighted skills will appear at the top of the list of applicants on the recruiter's dashboard. This will save the recruiter time that would otherwise be spent reviewing hundreds of CVs that may not be suitable for the role," added Mujika.
