The first specialist mall in the Middle East for electronics products and services is set to open its doors early next year.
The Dh180 million iMall will welcome electronics-savvy shoppers in the first quarter of 2016, iMall director Nadeem Balash, said in a statement.
Balash disclosed that more than 60 per cent of leasable area has already been booked and another 20 per cent booking is expected before the official opening.
He disclosed that the work is going on fast-track in the mall that includes 85 stores, six restaurants, a pharmacy, parking space for 230 cars and an entertainment area designed especially for children.
Located in Sharjah's Al Nahda district next to Ansar Mall, the project is being developed by Nice Home Real Estate.
He revealed that iMall will have the presence of world-class local and international companies and they will offer the world's latest technology products.
He pointed out that although the mall targets all segments of the society, the young generation will be centre of attraction as they are more technology-savvy and buy latest electronics products more frequently than others.
He added that the launch of iMall comes in line with the growing demand for technology products and devices in the UAE, which is expected to grow faster than other retail categories.
Balash said that iMall is a real addition to the electronics retailer and modern technology sector, being the first specialised technology and electronics centre in the Middle East. He said that iMall provides a competitive environment between the shops located to provide the latest and best electronic products and the best price, and high value-added services. The mall will provide free Wi-Fi services.
