Emirates Bank starts Air Arabia payment service

DUBAI — Emirates Bank and Air Arabia have announced the launch of a new ticket payment method via electronic banking channels. Easy payments can now be made anywhere in the UAE via Emirates Bank's Automated Teller Machines and Cash Deposit Machines.

Emirates Bank customers can make payments through the bank's network of both ATMs and CDMs, while travellers not holding accounts with Emirates Bank can avail of the service via the bank's network of CDMs only. In both cases, passengers can check in at the airport carrying their receipts collected at the time of payment and present it at the airport as their travel ticket.

Jamal bin Ghalaita, general manager, consumer banking and wealth management, said: "Emirates Bank's partnership with Air Arabia is another proof of our commitment to lead in the provision of distinctive services for UAE residents. We recognise the achievements of Air Arabia and are confident that our joined efforts will result in an enhanced service for customers."

Ali Al Hamdany, director of information technology and corporate projects said: "This innovative step in partnership with Emirates Bank makes it more easier to travel with Air Arabia.

Kyle Haywood, commercial director at Air Arabia said: "This step further enhances the value for money services we offer to our customers to more than 37 destinations."

Mohammed Saif Al Falasi, head of alternative channels, Emirates Bank said: "Emirates Bank continues to research ways of offering value added services through its modern and unconventional banking channels to the UAE society."
