Finding a parking space in Dubai is an uphill task, but it will be no more a worry for motorists as a Dubai-based IT firm in collaboration with Vault Investments has come up with an innovative and affordable solution.
HotPotato, the only on-demand public valet and car services application, is all set to launch its first-of- its-kind parking service in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The stress-free parking service will be available in Dubai very soon and then expand into Abu Dhabi next quarter, after the solution is proposed to and approved by local government authorities.
The new service will help motorists to save their time and money in some of the most congested areas in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Later, the service may be extended to Sharjah and other emirates in the UAE.
Elaborating on the new service, the company's marketing and operations head Bhavna Mangal said motorists can easily indicate their location by using the HotPotato mobile app to secure help of HotPotato agent for valet parking in a secure garage.
"While parked, customers can also opt for a gas fill-up, a car wash and other car services via the HotPotato app. When ready to leave, the car is delivered to a requested location at the tap of a button," Mangal told Khaleej Times.
On-demand valet parking will cost Dh15 per park per three hours or Dh500 for a monthly pass. With average daily parking rates of up to Dh75 in private valet and Dh15 in public and drivers spending around 20 to 40 minutes to find a parking spot, the new service is expected to offer both savings and convenience to motorists.
"With an easy-to-use app and our fleet of professionally-trained agents, HotPotato is taking the hassle out of parking and car ownership for Dubai like we have for tens of thousands of other drivers Emirate wide. We're excited to launch our service in Dubai - letting drivers spend more time enjoying the city, and less time dealing with their car," said Sultan Ali Lootah, managing partner of Vault Investments.
"Dubai is a fast-paced city; everyone is on the go, it needs something like HotPotato as a parking solution. This app will help reducing the parking violations in congested parts of town; moreover it will promote a stress-free parking solution," said Abdulla Ali Lootah, deputy chief executive of Vault Investments.
In addition to secure, stress free parking, Mangal said HotPotato will also be offering its signature HotPotato Care, a new offering that includes oil changes, tyre rotations and factory maintenance and other value-added services.
"The company has also led the industry in offering value-added services such as gas fill ups, electric vehicle charging and car washing," she said.
