Regional and international companies in the Middle East are increasingly looking for innovative and cost effective solutions, when it comes to the facilities management industry, exhibitors at FM Expo 2016 have said.
The FM Expo, the Middle East's largest facilities management event, concluded on Wednesday. The 10th edition of the event reflects its long-standing commitment towards the industry. With a 25 per cent increase in exhibition space compared to 2015, the event hosted over 150 companies from 19 countries, which showcased their innovative solutions to nearly 10,000 visitors.
Property service solutions provider, Khidmah, showcased its services at the event, in addition to providing workshops and networking opportunities. The company recently launched its Khidmah360 initiative, which allows staff to run their business operations on one single integrated platform instead of five isolated systems, thereby increasing efficiency.
Khidmah360 enables key departments to serve internal and external stakeholders across all lines of business in the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets. The company's portfolio of services have also been grown to now include a range of new service lines such as female technicians, dust mite-related services and concierge services.
"Our main goal is to deliver innovative and cost-efficient solutions that support our clients' diverse needs, and to always ensure that we are adopting best industry practices. We are continuously working on enhancing our service offerings, and are looking for new areas that we can target, to ensure that we are meetings our clients' every FM- related need," managing director, Abdulla Saeed Al Qamzi, said.
EFS Facilities Services, another exhibitor at the event, also unveiled its comprehensive integrated facilities management services platform at the FM Expo 2016.
"The GCC FM industry is poised to touch $38 billion in value, according to a Credo report endorsed by the MEFMA, with the UAE market expected to be worth $10 billion," said Tariq Chauhan, the company's group chief executive officer. "We are pleased with the sustainable progress we've been able to achieve in the UAE, which is a core market for EFS Facilities Services. We believe that our customisable services portfolio, which spans integrated facilities management, business outsourcing, infrastructure and business outsourcing, will prove to be a value added proposition for our clients."
Imdaad, a provider of integrated facilities, environment and energy management solutions in the GCC, also launched its Integrated Network Operations Centre (Inoc) at the event. The company held a live demonstration of the centre to showcase remote management and monitoring of its customers' sites and facilities. Inoc is an intelligent command and control centre that is based on the Internet of Things (IoT) concept and developed jointly with Robotina, a Slovenia-based comprehensive automation solutions provider.
Inoc intelligently analyses the performance trends of interconnected assets and correlates with the behaviour of the building's eco-system to come up with a set of recommendations and corrective actions, which the system admin can apply automatically or selectively. Its features include a cognitive computing platform, predictive maintenance capability, seamless machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, automatic corrective measures, real-time monitoring and tracking of assets, and energy management.
