DUBAI — ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, India's top private life insurance company, opened its first representative office here yesterday in a bid to consolidate its position in the Gulf region.
In a statement, the company, which opened its first overseas office in Bahrain in November 2005, said the move marks ICICI Prudential's aim to extend further its services to non-resident Indians (NRIs).
"The office will promote and service the life insurance needs of the NRIs through...wealth creation, education insurance, retirement solutions and health solutions," the statement said, adding that there are 1.4 million NRIs in the UAE.
Venu Rajamony, India's Consul General to Dubai, inaugurated ICICI's Dubai office.
