The biggest-ever Indian Realty Expo opened its door on Friday at Le Meridian Hotel Airport Road Dubai with more than 1,500 projects and 500 projects for ready to move totally worth more than 150 billion rupees, the organisers said.
"The two-day Times Realty India Expo - Dubai, which will conclude today, unveiled its 21st edition with a lot of added colours and features as per the public demand across the previous editions," said Farheen Sait, director marketing of Mindscape Exhibitions Dubai, who organises the event on behalf of The Times of India.
May 2017 marks a paradigm shift in the way Indian real estate will operate and function, what with the RERA Act caming into effect from May 1. Other policy initiatives include the Benami Transactions Act, and GoI (Government of India)'s determined push for affordable housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by 2022 with the aim 'Housing for all'. These measures are expected to provide positive impetus to the buyer sentiment and ensure greater transparency in the industry.
The three policy moves will transform the sector and lead to consolidation as smaller players will align with stronger partners to complete their project efficiently and on time. The safest bet for investors is to focus on projects whose builders have a strong reputation and track-record and are 'RERA compliant'. Currently the real estate market in key Indian cities has a plethora of options for buyers in almost every price bracket.
Indeed, buyers have every reason to view this as a very favourable time for home purchase.
Times Realty India Expo at Le-Meridien Hotel Airport Road Dubai showcased the best of India's real estate brands such as Lodha Group, Runwal, Godrej, Puraniks, Omkar, Sobha, Central Park, M3M, Mahagun, Ansal.
Bollywood actor Sohail Khan inaugurated the expo on Friday.
The conference cames at an opportune time and close to the heels of RERA Act that will benefit all parties - buyers, developers and agents - in some way or the other.
According to Jaxay Shah, president CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developer Association of India), "Despite the initial setbacks, the Act has came into effect from May 1. There will be teething problems initially, but as the regulatory mechanism sets in place, we will see a smoother transition into the new administration. Engaging and diligently moving towards the common goal of building a professional, accountable, transparent and innovative sector should be the objective of all stakeholders."
Times Realty Expo exhibited properties from hundred plus developers in India, With 1,500 projects from all key cities of India such as Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Ahmadabad, Cochin, Kolkata also comprising 500 ready to move in properties and properties starting from 10 lakh rupees (Dh57,000) onwards, it also showcases exclusive properties with a price protection.
