Gadgets being showcased are related to information technology, consumer electronics, mobile technology, lifestyle and leisure, as well as gaming, home and office automation appliances, sports and medical equipment, security and control systems.
Consumers are showing keen interest in promotional offers on laptops, mobile phones, LCDs etc.
The event was opened by Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
All leading electronics retailers in the country are taking part in the show at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Returning in its second edition this year, ADES is the largest consumer electronics exhibition in Abu Dhabi. It serves as a one stop shop for customers to browse through technology innovations in the consumer electronics market.
Electronics retailers and brands participating in the event include Emax, Plug Ins, Sharaf DG, Jacky's Retail, Samsung, Philips, Toshiba, Alienware, Huawei, Hisense and Grand Stores, among others.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, acting group CEO, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec), said: "In hosting a consumer electronics show of ADES' calibre, we seek to promote Abu Dhabi as a leading destination for exhibitions and conferences specialised in the high-tech industry."
Al Dheheri added: "The continued success of the event in its previous editions, both in terms of visitors and exhibitor turnout, has been a key factor in supporting this mega exhibition yet again. I am confident the 2015 edition will prove a huge draw for consumers with the largest number of exhibitors under its roof and offering the latest innovations in the world of consumer electronics."
Antoine Georges, managing director at Dome Exhibitions, said: "The fourth edition of Ades converges the biggest gathering of the world's renowned electronics brands under one roof, and provides shoppers and visitors the perfect opportunity to find the best value-for-money deals on the latest electronic gadgets."
The show has lined up daily raffle draws, free gift vouchers and deals to drive visitor enthusiasm for the event.
Since its inception, Ades has expanded significantly in scope and scale, strengthening Abu Dhabi's stature as an emerging hub for cutting-edge technology.
