UAE is keen on boosting the two-way trade and economic relations with Japan, and galvanize the ties of cooperation between the business communities to the benefit and interest of the two countries, said businessman Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi.
Addressing the UAE-Japanese Investment forum held here on Thursday, he said this forum is being held according to the strategy of His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, to develop the economic and investment fields in the emirate to keep in balance with the enormous progress the UAE is witnessing in all domains, including the economic, industrial and investment levels.
Businessmen and executive directors representing more than 20 Japanese companies working in trade, industrial and tourism sectors took part in the forum, which is held under the auspices of Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi and Hisashi Michigami, Japan's Consul General in Dubai.
Organised by Global Logistic, one of the leading local firms in Fujairah, the forum reviewed the most prominent incentives and available concessions and investment opportunities in the vital sectors like oil, Petrochemicals, processing industries, mining and tourism.
Shaikh Abdullah said the forum came after economic studies and exchanged of visits between the two parties, with hope to achieve the results the two yearn for in the near future. He referred in this context to the direct directives of Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, to provide the best possible facilities to the Japanese delegation.
