Turkish fashion chain, LC Waikiki, on Tuesday opened its flagship store in the Dubai Mall in partnership with Apparel Group. Turkish ambassador Can Dizdar inaugurated the store, along with several officials from the Apparel Group.
Speaking to Khaleej Times at the launch, Neeraj Teckchandani, group CFO at Apparel Group, highlighted the popularity of the brand across the regional and international market.
"We launched the brand in 2014, and the opening of this branch in Dubai Mall is the most important for us since this is the flagship store of the brand. The store is around 14,000 square feet and is designed to take the brand to the next level in the region."
He added that the brand is extremely popular in Turkey and across the international market. "Right now, the chain boasts almost 1,000 stores, with 450 of them being located in Turkey. It is un-doubtedly one of the leading brands from Turkey," he said.
"We have been looking at this brand for a very long time since it sits very comfortably in the value segment, but without compromising on quality. It is high quality fashion at a very reasonable price. Currently there are 16 stores in operation, and over the next couple of years, we will see a lot more coming up. We want to double the number that we have currently and we will be opening across the region including Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman."
LC Waikiki monitors trends closely and pre-pares collections for its consumers which make them put forth their best style while feeling special. It offers accessible fashion to its customers in 3 continents with more than 850 stores in 38 countries and 42,000 employees from different nationalities.
LC Waikiki exported 170 million products abroad in the first half of 2018 and aims to reach $825 million in total by the end of 2018. - rohma@khaleejtimes.com
