The growth strategy will see Liberty Automobiles open new world-class showrooms, service, parts and other support facilities in Fujairah, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, while Liberty Abu Dhabi Automobiles, the partner company of Liberty Automobiles, will open similar facilities in Al Ain, all of which will be operational before the end of this year.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Qasimi, Chairman of Liberty Investment Company, holding company of Liberty Automobiles, said: “Our expansion plans are fuelled by robust sales witnessed over the past two years. Our portfolio of four well-known GM brands has gained significant market share in the UAE. The expansion is being undertaken to offer greater convenience and added value to our customers in all parts of the UAE.”
Liberty Automobiles is the authorised distributor for Cadillac, Hummer and Opel in Dubai and Northern Emirates, and for Chevrolet in Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. Liberty Abu Dhabi Automobiles represents the premium brands, Cadillac and Hummer, in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
“We are driven by a mission to take our standards to the next level, as we find ourselves poised for accelerated growth,” said Tayeb Al Rais, managing director, Automobiles Division, Liberty Investment Company. “We are the only GM dealer in the UAE with a countrywide representation for the two premium brands, Cadillac and Hummer. The huge investments in new expansion projects will enable us to create facilities designed to strengthen service delivery and exceed customer expectations.”
The various expansion projects are already underway. Work on the new, integrated Fujairah showroom, service and parts facility, spread over an area of 20,000 square feet, will be commissioned by June 2007.
The extensive 36,000 square feet showroom and service centre in Ras Al Khaimah is due to be opened in July 2007, giving customers in the area a new, luxurious setting for new vehicles and after-sales service.
In Sharjah, Liberty Automobiles is setting up a huge infrastructural support facility in Sajja Industrial Area to house its vehicle storage and pre-delivery inspection (PDI) operations, to increase customer service efficiencies.
In addition, Liberty Abu Dhabi Automobiles Co. is building a 15,000 square feet showroom and parts facility in Al Ain. This comes close on the heels of commissioning a Dh100 million dedicated showroom, service and parts facilities in Abu Dhabi in November 2006.
In 2008, Dubai will witness the next major expansion of Liberty Automobiles with the opening of new sales and after sales facilities.
