Announcing the opening of the new complex, Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Dubai-based Liberty Investment Co., and President of Liberty Automobiles Co., said the huge facility has been designed to cope with the remarakble growth in sales of the GM range of vehicles in the UAE.Last year, Liberty registered a sales growth of 17 per cent and this year, it expects a sales surge of 25 per cent, he said following the inauguration of the showrom located on King Abdulaziz Road in Shrjah.
He said the new showroom would be able to provide customers with a wider selection of vehicles, highly efficient service and an exceptional buying experience in a superior, comfortable environment.
"In the UAE, the Liberty Automobiles name has been synonymous with General Motors for the past 28 years, a partnership that has seen both entities grow from strength to strength in this region," noted Shaikh Khalid. "Our rising profile here therefore makes it imperative for us to upgrade our technologies and establish a state-of-the-art showroom that is fully equipped to bring the vehicles purchasing experience to the next generation."
The new showroom measures over 100,000 square feet and is designed like a boutique to show the full range of prestigious GM brands such as Cadillac, Chevrol et and Opel, with a capability of displaying more than 80 cars at a time. The complex is spread over an area of 400,000 square feet.
Shaikh Khalid said the new facility is the first showroom in the world to conform to General Motors' stringent corporate identity standards to the fullest and hosts spacious offices, an extensive pre-owned car showroom, new car delivery section and two floors dedicated for parking new vehicles, ready for delivery, thus enhancing customer's choice.
Shakh Khalid pointed out that Liberty Automobiles had witnessed year-on-year sales increase over the past few years and this vibrant growth trend was bound to continue into the future. "We are confident that from prime locations in Dubai and Sharjah, in partnership with General Motors, we will continue to set the benchmark in automobile sales, parts and service for GM products ." he stated.
The showroom boasts distinctive display areas for every car model. Taking customer satisfaction a step further, the facility is capable of presenting upto another 120 cars enabling customers to choose from several interior & exterior colours. The showroom has dedicated customer car parking for up to 90 cars at a time, and its extensive reception area is fronted by a courtesy lounge that is equipped with all amenities and services to cater for the needs of all waiting customers.
Stevan Koch, Regional Director of General Motors Africa and Middle East Operations, present at the opening said that GM and Liberty have been partners for the past 28 years. "I think we can rightly say that today's official opening of these new premises represents the crowning glory of that partnership," he noted.

We share the same dedication to customer service, to providing customers with the right product, and to enriching the ownership experience," Koch added. "Today's ceremony is symbolic of the renaissance that has been underway at Cadillac for the past few years. Facilities such as this complement great new products with outstanding customer service," he noted.
