Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) and Creative Zone signed an MoU today aiming to bringing a positive impact on the business landscape for women entrepreneurs in the region.
Under the partnership Creative Zone will be offering an exclusive price package to aspiring women entrepreneurs to set up their businesses within the mainland and free zone jurisdictions along with a one-year exclusive membership to the Dubai Business Women Council that will open several doors for women seeking to learn, grow, and flourish in the business world.
"The partnership with companies such as Creative Zone is in line with the Council's ongoing efforts to support businesswomen and entrepreneurs in Dubai. We are committed to helping them overcome the current challenges while contributing to their professional success by collaborating with organisations who share the same mission and objectives. Working in the business environment in Dubai requires exceptional skills due to the high competitiveness that makes the business environment special. With that in mind, the accelerator
programme that we will launch with Creative Zone is an exemplary initiative that will take into consideration all the best internationally adopted practices in the field of training and mentorship which will enable the businesswomen in our network to set up and/or scale up their businesses," said Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager, DBWC.
Formed under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, DBWC is the UAE's leading platform for the personal and professional development of businesswomen in Dubai.
Since its establishment, the Council has dedicated its efforts to enhancing gender parity in society and encouraging women to play active roles in building the country and stimulating sustainable development.
"Being a business set up consultancy, we understand the industry landscape and the challenges that come with it. In our experience of working with so many business owners, women make great managers and leaders with their focused approach and clear vision, and with this partnership, we want to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and self-reliance," said Lorenzo Jooris, CEO, Creative Zone.
The partnership will feature the launch of Creative Zone's Accelerator Programme aimed at sponsoring selected business plans by offering a cohesive incentive package with business setup and extended support services worth Dh150,000.
"We are excited to launch the Accelerator Programme that helps SMEs with the needed support to start their businesses especially during uncertain times. The project is scheduled to go live by September 2020," said Jooris. - business@khaleejtimes.com
