Due to SkyEurope’s inability to pay outstanding debts to Vienna Airport, the company provided free nearly hour-long bus rides from Austria into Slovakia from midnight Friday onwards - leading to flight delays of up to two hours.

Airline spokesman Ronald Schranz said the procedure would continue until further notice, but talks with Vienna Airport were continuing.

SkyEurope, which usually makes up to ten flights each from Prague, Bratislava and Vienna to European holiday destinations, has suffered for some time under financial problems and is under creditor protection.
