Kingsley Monk, 45, died during an attack at the Driverline 247 agency on an industrial estate near Pontypool on Monday.

Russell Carter, of Rumney, Cardiff, appeared before magistrates in Newport and was remanded until a preliminary hearing at the city's crown court on Oct. 30, the Press Association reported.

Carter is also charged with the attempted murder of Robert Lewis, Nathan Taylor and Gethan Heal and with four counts of false imprisonment.

Monk and his three colleagues were tied up, assaulted and threatened with a gun. The colleagues were treated in hospital but have since been released.
