The Millennium Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi is always taking part in the majority of the community's ecological, humanitarian, voluntary and charity work, the last of which was on August 19, which marked World Humanitarian Day that was established by the General Assembly of the United Nations in December 2008 and was first observed in August 2009.
The Millennium has planned to use the day to offer its support for people in need by contributing in various ways to give others help and hope. The hotel has distributed 100 food boxes to the Chinese labour camp in the Baniyas area belonging to United Security Group, which is a division of Al Otaiba Group of Companies where they succeeded to see the smile on the faces of the labourers there.
Moreover, a big number of the Hotel's employees have donated blood to the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank believing in the fact that giving blood can help save lives or people suffering from various health conditions."
The Humanitarian Day encourages people to work together enthusiastically to disrupt the vicious cycle of poverty, hunger and neglect and we will spare no effort as a hotel to share and be part of it to help spread those key messages," said James Wilson, general manager of Millennium Corniche.
