"It is very important to maintain good quality of indoor air as the air we breathe has a direct impact on our health and well-being. Several trusted studies prove that indoor air quality is much more polluted than outdoor air," says Kyungrin An, General Manager, RAC Sales Division-LG Electronics Gulf, in an interview with Khaleej Times.
"Specifically, in the GCC, where we experience hot weather conditions mostly throughout the year, we spend most of our time indoors. This makes us susceptible to airborne allergens that can cause adverse health effects such as respiratory ailments like asthma," he adds.
So how can you monitor the quality of air especially in this region? He answers: "There are air quality monitoring devices that can give an exact rating of the air quality we breathe in, however, it cannot be easily available and if acquired as a stand-alone device, it can be quite expensive. There is also the internet that we can source some information from but it can be limited and cannot give accurate data about indoor air quality. Therefore, we recommend using an air purifier, which has the visible alarming device where the users can monitor changes in the air quality over time."
According to him, the recent trends of air purification technology are "Air Circulation" and "Artificial Intelligence". As air purifying requirement is shifting from narrow to broad and farther perspective due to changes in our living environment, it is very important for an air purifier to send the purified air to the farther area at a rapid speed. Furthermore, an air purifier is required to detect the level of air quality we breathe in and to alarm the same for immediate measurement. LG PuriCare's PM 1.0 Smart Sensor & Display can provide the real time reading of indoor
 air quality.
LG has brought its technological innovations to its range of PuriCare Air Purifiers, using comprehensive filtration methods to ensure that even the minutest of particulate matter, harmful gases and allergens are eliminated from the indoor environment, resulting in the purest air for your family and loved ones. "The technology is so effective that the Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association (SAAA) - Sweden's leading educators on the topic, dedicated to improving conditions and understanding of people affected by the allergies and asthma - has given LG's PuriCare range its highest certification," he notes. The certification recognises the LG PuriCare Air Purifier's ability to remove nearly 100 per cent of all airborne particles, including ultra-fine dust, harmful gases like formaldehyde, smog, and allergens that could cause asthma or affect those already suffering from respiratory illnesses.
Factors to consider while choosing an air purifier
Purification/Filtration method
An air purifier's main function is to remove pollutants from the air that will improve indoor air quality, creating a healthy and comfortable indoor environment.
The LG PuriCare Air Purifier offers a six-step filtration process that comprehensively eliminates large dust, ultra-fine dust, allergens, living environment odours like ammonia, VOCs and smog.
 Filter availability
The core component of an air purifier is the filter thus having the filters widely and readily available whenever required is necessary.
No need to worry because LGE filter is available with any LGE brand shops and modern channels.
Area coverage
An innovative 360-degree structure of LG Puricare helps users achieve a healthy indoor environment as it absorbs pollutants from 360 degrees and delivers clean air everywhere no matter where it is installed and it has a capacity to cover an area above 50 square metres.
