Mubadala praised by GCC ministers for environment

ABU DHABI — The GCC ministers for environmental affairs, who met here recently here and participated in the ceremony held for best environmental works award, have lauded the methodology adopted by the Mubadala Development Company in its projects and operations to preserve the environment, during their recent meeting here.

The ministers, during their review of the company's environmental initiatives, have urged other firms to follow its example to guarantee a better future for the environment in the GCC countries.

Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chief Executive Officer of the Mubadala Development, said that the company had sponsored the award because of its principles, which were aimed at preserving the environmental transparency and safety.

He said that the fourth session of the award gained momentum by being convened in the UAE, which had, since its inception, functioned to accomplish a balance between comprehensive development and the need for preserving natural resources, which has subsequently become a role model to be followed in sustainable development.
