Abu Dhabi General Services Company or 'Musanada' delivered 23 development projects worth Dh11.2 billion throughout the emirate in various sectors, including housing, education, buildings, infrastructure, roads and healthcare, among others.
Musanada is currently managing and executing 242 projects across all sectors, including 190 projects in the design phase and 52 in the construction phase.
Other projects include the Al Ain New Hospital, Shaikh Shakhbout Hospital, Sila Hospital in the Western Region, 3,000-unit housing project in Jabal Hafeet, 2,000-unit housing project in Ain Al Fayda, South Shamkha infrastructure development, Al Manayef City infrastructure development at Al Ruwais - Western Region, Abu Dhabi-Dubai Road, Al Mafraq-Al Ghuwaifat Road interconnecting the Western Region cities and facilitating commercial land traffic in the UAE, the Airport interchange and Airport regional road network, and other vital projects and services, including the provision of facility management services to approximately 4,000 buildings within Abu Dhabi.
"Musanada is executing and managing projects according to highest international standards and specifications," said Saif Al Hameli, Musanada's acting CEO.
Musanada is currently handling housing projects in Abu Dhabi, implementing the leadership's vision to ensure family stability for UAE nationals.
Housing projects
In 2015, Musanada delivered three major housing projects for Dh1.7 billion, including the Emirati housing project phase one and two in Abu Dhabi city and Bida Al Mutawa housing project in the Western Region.
Coordinating with Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Musanada delivered Emirati housing project phase one and two on an area of 72 acres. The project included 703 residential units and is located in Khalifa City.
"The area of phase one of the Emirati housing project was 43 acres, including 303 villas, with an estimated total project cost along with the associated infrastructure of approximately Dh761 million," said Eng Ali Al Haj Al Mehairbi, Musanada's acting executive director - building construction management division.
The area of phase two of the watani housing project was 28 acres, including 400 villas, with an estimated total project cost along with the associated infrastructure of approximately Dh780 million.
Musanada also delivered Bida Al Mutawa housing project in the Western Region. The project includes 60 residential units with associated infrastructure works.
In the infrastructure sector, Musanada completed works on vital projects during 2015, such as South Shamkha infrastructure development project, with a total cost over Dh7 billion, Neima area project worth Dh206 million, and levelling works at Al Manayef city with a total cost of Dh292 million, and the improvement of water quality project at Reem and Marya islands for Dh46 million.
