Accroding to a weekly report issued by DFM here on Saturday, value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals during last week reached Dh1.977 billion against Dh1.916 billion over last week. The total value of shares traded comprised 40.32 per cent against 37.49 per cent last week.
The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached Dh2.526 billion comprising 51.51 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period against Dh2.321 billion and 45.39 per cent respectively.
Net foreign Investments on DFM have been on roller coaster for last two months. According to the weekly DFM report between June 22, 2008 to August 10 the outflows witnessed a low of Dh66.5 million and a high of Dh 773.6 million in first week of July. Last month the outflows declined and had recorded a low of Dh148.8 million.
During August 10-14, value of stocks bought by institutional investors reached Dh1.783 billion comprising 36.36 per cent of the total value of stocks traded. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached Dh2.422 billion which constitutes 49.39 per cent of the total value of stocks traded. Net institutional investment on the market reached Dh638.75 million during the period. as aggregate buy.
