Arabian Automobiles, the exclusive dealer for Nissan Motor vehicles in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, has unveiled all-new Nissan Maxima 2016, which is destined to be a "game-changer" in its segment.
The new model in three grade levels - S, SV and SR - will be available with a price range between around Dh110,000 and Dh150,000 across Nissan showrooms in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
The new incarnation of the popular sedan is its eighth-generation model and wraps enhanced performance and latest technology in a captivating new design, making it the sportiest and most powerful Maxima ever.
"The all-new Nissan Maxima 2016 promises to be a game-changer that sets a new benchmark for the driving experience. It has been created by driving enthusiasts for driving enthusiasts, so it is uncompromising in everything that it offers," Arabian Automobiles chief executive officer Michel Ayat said at the launch.
"Nothing else on the road today looks like it or drives like it. It raises the bar incredibly high for its class-leading design, fuel efficiency, performance and technology," Ayat explained.
The all-new Nissan Maxima's styling showcases Nissan's new design language, including V-Motion front end, signature boomerang lights, kick-up C-pillars and unique floating roof appearance. The futuristic appearance is finished with large dual exhaust chrome tailpipe and 18-inch machined aluminum-alloy wheels on the S and SV grades, with 19-inch diamond-cut machined finish aluminum-alloy wheels on the Nissan Maxima SR.
A major redesign feature inside the car is the driver's cockpit, which was developed under the inspiration of a jet fighter. The styling theme and ergonomic layout, the new "command centre" utilises a new "Display Commander" on the console to allow fingertip control. Overall driver and passenger comfort in the cabin is assured with Nissan's Zero Gravity Seats design with added foam topper pad for initial softness and long-term comfort, while an acoustic laminated windshield and front side glass combined with an active noise cancellation aystem ensures a quieter interior ambience.
Under the hood, the all-new Nissan Maxima's 3.5-litre VQ-series V6 has been redesigned with more than 60 per cent new components compared to the previous generation 3.5-litre V6. With 300 horsepower on tap, the Nissan Maxima provides and impressive level of performance in its class. Complementing the revised powerplant is a new, performance-oriented Xtronic transmission that has a wider ratio range to allow for stronger acceleration from a standing start, while its all-new D-Step shifting logic provides rapid shifts at high throttle openings.
In terms of technology, the car aims to lead the field with its next-generation premium features that include an eight-inch colour display that enables intuitive smartphone-like gestures such as swiping and pinch-to-zoom.
Keeping cabin occupants safe inside the all-new Nissan Maxima are a host of safety, security and driving aids.
