ISLAMABD — Pakistan plans to export trained manpower to Brunei Darussalam to increase its foreign remittances and also solve the unemployment problem.
The caretaker federal minister for labour, manpower and overseas Pakistanis Nisar A. Ghuman discussed the issue with high commissioner of Brunei Pehin Colonel Abdul Jalil Ahmad yesterday. Pakistan has sufficient professionals and technical workforce like doctors, paramedics, engineers, teachers, IT specialists, skilled and semi-skilled workforce and farmers, the minister informed the Brunei high commissioner.
The two discussed different aspects of the possibilities of export of such professionals and job prospects for them in Brunei. The high commissioner showed a positive response. He assured the minister that the government of Brunei would give due consideration to the offer extended to it with respect to the export of professional and trained manpower. This will help Brunei meet the local needs.
