Besides different individual companies participating from all over the world, country groups with national pavilions such as Germany, Austria, UK, Italy, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, Korea, China, Taiwan, USA, and India are also taking part in this annual event.

“Visitors will also focus their attention on plastics processing machinery, polymers and masterbatches, molding machineries, plastic films, wrapping technology, plastic finished goods, household plastics, industrial plastics, devices as well as accessories,” said Satish Khanna, General Manager, Al Fajer Information and Services, co- organiser of the show.

According to Khanna, the show has been generating strong demand for overseas exhibitors from the region. It has registered remarkable number of trade enquiries and contacts made by exhibitors with trade professionals. Also predictions that post show business are really promising to most of the exhibitors.

Qatar Petrochemical Co. (QAPCO), the principal sponsor of ArabPlast 2009, will sustain its efforts and success in building a global marketing and supply chain network that strives on excellence in customers’ services and outstanding products’ quality. On the other hand, Borouge, the gold sponsor, will use the show to reaffirm its leading position in meeting the rapidly increasing demands of petrochemicals.

Khanna added: “Exhibitors’ optimism over ArabPlast has grown considerably high. This positive mood marked by record number of exhibitors, besides new country participations and display of state-of-the-technology machinery and products are confirmed at the region’s leading trade fair for Plastics and Rubber Industry.”

ArabPlast proves that it is not only an information gathering venue but also an interface to know more about the technical specifications for specific products and look more thoroughly for solutions to concrete problems facing the industry at the manufacturing level.
