Mohammed Al Gergawi, chief executive officer of Dubai Holding, who officially inaugurated the show, pointed to the importance of the real estate sector in the growth of the economies throughout the Gulf. "The real estate sector is growing in the UAE and the region," he said. There is tremendous opportunity in the whole region.

Multinational companies are also trying to share in the growth and are here to showcase their projects, he said, adding that real estate is one of the biggest sectors in Dubai and the AGCC, with projects worth an estimated Dh300 billion in Dubai alone in the coming 10 years. The Dubai property Investment Show is part of the International Property Week.
