Preempting the massive global shift towards smart technology, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of DSOA, laid the foundation stone of Silicon Park in 2017. Today, the project is 90 percent complete and well on track to open its doors in Q2 2019.

Constructed at an investment of AED1.4 billion, Silicon Park comprises 71,000 square meters of office space, 25,000 square meters of commercial space, and 46,000 square meters of residential area. Managed directly by DSOA, the project encompasses two phases - phase one featuring 20 buildings, and phase two including a conference center, a furnished apartment complex, and Radisson Red hotel.

Silicon Park leverages the highest international green building standards to create a healthy living environment. To enhance the convenience of its approximately 2,000 employees and residents, all buildings will be connected through an integrated building management system. Smart sensors will monitor every aspect of the park, feeding data back into a central command, control centre, and smart city platform. In addition, Silicon Park has engaged telecom provider du to provide its newly launched suite of state-of-the-art IoT-based customized smart home solutions.

Some of the smart solutions set to make the Silicon Park experience truly distinctive and state-of-the-art are its Operational Management System and Integrated Operations Centre, community portal, Energy Management Solution, Enterprise Application Integration Solution, Project Management Office, and Enterprise Architecture Office.

What do these hi-tech concepts mean for Silicon Park's tenants and residents? In a nutshell, Silicon Park will be supported by smart energy solutions, environmentally sustainable mobility, and smart public amenities and services, all devoted to creating a high quality of life for people living, working, and visiting the project. In line with the objectives of the UAE Vision 2021, Silicon Park also reflects global trends for smart cities and incorporates most of the KPIs of the UAE National Agenda, including cohesive society, safe public and sustainable environment, and a modern holistic lifestyle.
