DUBAI — Swift Freight International, a leader in global transportation and logistics, has positioned itself to create a "transshipment hub for goods from the Far East and India into Africa" by expanding its infrastructure in Dubai.
In a statement, Swift said it is one of the first companies to reserve a space — 28,800 square metres for a logistics site — at Dubai Logistics City in Jebel Ali Free Zone. It will also have a 25,000-sq m airside facility at the new World Central Airport that would provide "smooth air connectivity" for its shipments.
"The expansion of Swift's network in India and the Far East, combined with the opening of more countries on the African continent and the consolidation of Swift's infrastructure in Dubai, have positioned the organisation to create a major transshipment hub for goods from the Far East and India into Africa," Swift said.
