Thuraya launches Super Sim

In a Press conference held here yesterday it was announced that the new card will automatically replace the value-plus sim card, however Thuraya's 'regular' sim cards currently in circulation will remain valid until stocks get depleted. Thuraya's value plus sim will automatically be reverted to super sim after its one year validity.

Commenting on this new service Thuraya Chairman Mohammad Omran said "we always strive to evolve our products for the benefit of our customers. The super sim is a valuable new service that is already being welcomed by customers itis part of our continuos effort to expand our offerings and choices to meet the changing requiremenents of our customers."

The new super sim promotion offers 100 free short messages, 30 minutes of free internet and $10 free calls upon subscription. The super sim also offers two main benefits to value plus subscribers namely the reduction of the sim card total price by about 50 per cent and reduction of renewal charges by about 60 per cent and abut 25 per cent less call charges than regular.
