DUBAI - The Free Zones of UAE are a veritable opportunity for the country to showcase its development and special area approach, besides highlighting the ownership aspects and attractive incentives provided to the investors.
Within a short span of time, around six Free Zones have been established in the UAE and a few more are yet to start.
Being strategically located for international trade, since its inception as a federal state, the government has opened up the economy for the foreign investors and traders. In addition to this, each emirate has established its own free zone to motivate the economy and create job opportunities for the nationals.
So, a directory was required to be published with all the information about the Free zones and Global Resources took the lead in compiling this task and published, 'A Golden Rainbow - UAE Free Zones Directory' which includes, rules and regulations of all the free zones and also a combined directory of investors which is required by the business community.
This is the third edition launched after the success of the first edition and have compiled a list of companies in the free zone alphabetically as well as product wise in a single book.
UAE has diversified its economy, through developing its natural gas reserves and aluminium industry, the two non-oil producing sectors.
There are also a number of industrial and financial ventures, most of which are being carried out in the various free zones.
