The meeting also explored investment prospects in Abu Dhabi and Japan for businessmen in both countries.

Mohammed Muhanna Al Qubeisi, director of the department, said they had also reviewed with the Japanese delegation ways of bolstering trade exchange and identified a number of projects that could be developed by both parties, mainly in education and health sectors.

“Japan is a major trade partner in the region and there are 85 Japanese firms operating in the country, out of which 48 are functioning on a Japanese-UAE partnership basis. The figure is set to increase,” Qubeisi said.
