Vidya Balan opens Al Adils 38th showroom in Al Barsha

The line up of Bollywood film stars patronising Al Adil Trading is seeing a rapid increase over the past few months.
The gracious presence of the stunning Bollywood beauty Vidya Balan enhanced the glamour quotient when Al Adil Trading Co LLC, UAE's leading name for Indian food stuff, inaugurated their 38th outlet in Al Barsha on October 10.
Dr Dhananjay (Jay) Datar, chairman and managing director of Al Adil Trading, said that the inauguration by Bollywood's leading actress, who has had most of her films declared hit, is an epitome of South India beauty with Bollywood vivacity.
"Vidya Balan has always been the face of modern Indian woman. Her charm, versatility, ability to get under the skin of the characters and above all her spontaneity has made her a force to reckon with in the highly competitive Bollywood film industry. In a way she reflects the spirit of Al Adil and we are happy to have her presence during our store inauguration," he added.
The newly opened outlet of Al Adil Trading is situated in the heart of Al Barsha, behind Mall of the Emirates.
"Barsha has a very strong Indian diaspora population and we want to cater to their needs in a proactive manner. Our inauguration is timed to coincide with Diwali," said Dr Datar.
"Diwali is one of the most important festivals for Indians. The showroom inauguration just before Diwali provides the residents of Barsha to get their favourite Indian foodstuff just in time for the festive season. We have worked out an up to 50 per cent discount on a wide range of around 200 food items. This will enhance the festive celebrations and provide our customers with an added reason to make their choicest delicacies without compromising on the quality," he pointed out.
Outlining the long term plan of Al Adil, Dr Dhananjay (Jay) Datar, said that the focus has seen a dramatic shift towards organic products.
"Today we see a heightened level of awareness among the younger population. People are becoming very conscious about what they eat. The demand for organic products is seeing a rapid growth. In fact, after I made an effort to change my dietary habits to organic products, I have noticed a significant difference in my overall well being. I have shed my excess weight and I feel all the more fitter. This has motivated me to provide healthier products for my customers. Today, we have a wide range of high quality Indian organic food products for customers who are specific about the organic food stuffs. We even provide our customers with the option where they can choose their grains and even get it milled into flour at the premises," he stated.
According to Rishikesh Datar, director, Al Adil the organic range comes with lots of inherent benefits.
"It is very essential to understand that organic foods are produced using methods that do not involve modern synthetic inputs such as synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilisers. Organic foods are also not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents, or chemical food additives. One important thing is unlike other organic products in the market, our offerings are highly cost effective and affordable to our valued customers. The wide spread acceptance of our organic products is a growing a testimony to the faith that customers have in our products," said Rishikesh Datar. Al Adil Trading also has the major brand Peacock. The Peacock brand now encompasses over 160 products and plans are on to add more. "Peacock is one of the largest brands in the spices and masala category. Peacock began in a modest manner few years back with a small range of spices. Today, Peacock brand comprises of spices, pulses, flours, pickles, mukhawas, papads, nuts and dry fruits, etc," he added.
