For those of you who have Dh35 million to spare, Bugatti-themed villas are yours for the picking at Damac Properties' Akoya Oxygen development in Dubai. They will overlook the Tiger Woods designed golf course.
The French luxury super car's form will be reflected in the curvaceous design of the seven bedroom villas. The villas are extremely limited in number - only eight of them.
No, a Bugatti does not come free with the villa purchase. A 2015 Bugatti Veyron would cost around Dh5 million to Dh6 million.
"We incorporate our brand DNA into the homes. Art and form are two key elements of our brand. These are incorporated in the Ettore 971 series," said Massimiliano Ferrari, managing director, Bugatti Brand Lifestyle.
The homes will be fitted out with pieces from the Bugatti Home Furniture collection. However, the price tag of Dh35 million will not include the interior fit-outs.
"Customers will be taken to the Bugatti showroom in Milan and can tailormake furniture for their villa. Like how you can configure your car or ready-to-wear collections, you can configure your Bugatti home in super luxury," added Ferrari.
Another unique aspect of the design of these homes is that the garages will have a pride of place. The garage would be cast within a glass enclosure and allow a resident to admire the beauty of what's parked from their living rooms. The garages can host all types of cars, not just Bugattis.
"The car is a piece of art. It can be displayed in your house. You can drive your car into the living space. It will be an intimate pleasure to see your car in your living room, like a Picasso painting," he added.
Ziad El Chaar, managing director of Damac Properties, said: "From a core branding perspective, this is one of our fist collaborations that will mainly appeal to men first and women second. Bugatti is a very masculine brand. It was the other way around with Fendi Casa and Versace."
The branded homes will be targeted at Bugatti customers. "It could also appeal to lovers of brands and ultra luxury. It's for people with taste, who like modernity and ultra luxury cars. The homes will also have an aspirational value," Ferrari added.
