B-town wishes Karan Johar on 42nd birthday

Johar, who gave two back to back hits this year with Hasee Toh Phasee and 2 States, is all set to make his acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet this year.

As filmmaker-producer Karan Johar turned 42 on May 25, his friends from the Hindi film industry sent across their heartfelt wishes on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Johar, who gave two back to back hits this year with Hasee Toh Phasee and 2 States, is all set to make his acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet this year.

The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director recently wrapped up the fourth season of his chat show Koffee with Karan.

His good friend and director Farah Khan tweeted, “Happy birthday Karan Johar this year have lots of what I always wish for you every year.”

Alia Bhatt, who made her debut in Bollywood with Johar’s Student of the Year, tweeted, “Happy birthday to my daddy!!! Love you soo soo much Karan Johar.”

Johar hosted a party at his residence in Mumbai on the eve of his birthday, which was attended by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Saqib Saleem, Huma Qureshi, Parineeti Chopra and Kangana Ranaut, among others.

“Happy birthday Karan Johar!! Epic party last night,” Sonakshi Sinha tweeted.

Parineeti, who worked in Johar production Hasee Toh Phasee, said, “Happy happy happy b’day Karan Johar! Wish you all the happiness.”
