We hear that the shoot of Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do in Istanbul has delayed the schedule of Welcome Back. The last leg of this multi-starrer’s shoot was to happen in Dubai early this year but Anil was busy shooting for Dil Dhadakne Do due to which Welcome Back had to be pushed back. Reportedly director Anees Bazmee has taken this opportunity to begin the editing process of his film that is due to release in December. The cast and crew of Welcome Back might possibly come back to Dubai next month.
‘Regressive’ Humshakals
Ajay Devgan called him (Sajid) a ‘fool’, Esha Gupta revealed that she had warned her father not to watch Humshakals as he wouldn’t be able to bear it, Saif Ali Khan now regrets doing the film. In an interview with a leading Mumbai daily, Saif said that he had “surrendered” himself to Sajid even though he was uncomfortable with the content. Saif was quoted as saying, “The film didn’t have a script as such, it was all there in Sajid’s mind and I did whatever Sajid asked me to.” Saif added, “I did the film thinking that it will help me expand my market, but obviously that wasn’t a clever idea. I was trying to be someone I’m not. The humour was not the kind I enjoy. The film was very regressive. In fact, while watching it, I asked myself what I was doing in it. I knew I had let my fans down and underestimated their intelligence. Looking back, I can see today that I didn’t enjoy a single minute spent on the Humshakals set. Now, obviously I’m not going to doing a second film with Sajid.” Saif swore that he would never do such a film again and would never repeat the mistake that was Humshakals. We wonder what these actors were thinking of while doing the film, as it is easy to pass the buck when things go wrong. Last we heard Sajid has gone into depression after the failure of his film and the backlash from his actors.
Enter the Villain
There are reports Aamir Khan will possibly turn villain once again and this time opposite Rajnikanth. The buzz is that director Shankar is keen on bringing Aamir and Rajnikanth together for the sequel of Robot. The deal might or might not happen, but that’s how the industry functions. Months ago we told you that Salman Khan has been finalised for Shuddhi. The news was confirmed last week by Karan Johar. We are also getting reports that young guns Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor might be roped in to play Shahrukh’s brother in Rohit Shetty’s next film. Watch this space for more news.
Is Roy jinxed?
Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal starrer Roy has been experiencing rough waters ever since the idea of the film was conceived. The film that was to release mid 2014, had been postponed to next year. Earlier the makers were not to able to get Ranbir Kapoor’s dates. Right now Jacqueline is busy promoting Kick, whereas Ranbir has moved on to Imtiaz Ali’s film Tamasha. He absolutely does not have any free dates this year. The person who has suffered the most because of these two busy actors is Arjun Rampal, who is left twiddling his thumbs with no projects in hand. We hear that the shoot will continue early next year in South Africa.
Romance in Bloom
We hear that Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor has found love again. Rumour has it he has found comfort and solace in his latest co-star. The actor who hardly ever looked calm or happy during his string of affairs earlier is happily bonding with this foreign born beauty, who is the leading lady of his current action thriller. The two seem to be comfortable with public displays of affection, which was never the case before. We hear that he is promoting her big time and making sure that she gets the right projects so that her career goes in the right direction.
