dubaiThe show comes on the back of their re-formation for a special one off concert in London’s O2 Arena with Led Zeppelin two days prior.

Padma Coram, the Managing Director of the tour promoters Talent Brokers, said: 'It’s great that we have a live show by Foreigner in Dubai — they truly are an international act, with songs that evoke strong memories for people of that generation and it’s exciting to see them back together again”.

Foreigner's hit single 'Waiting For A Girl Like You' was # 2 on the chart for fourteen straight weeks. That is a record in the history of Billboard magazine.

Their multi platinum selling album Foreigner 4 spent more weeks on the Billboard Chart at number one than any album by AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, U2, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Genesis, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, and any other artist in Atlantic Record's 60-year history.

Foreigner have nine top ten hits (that's just one less than The Eagles, as many as Fleetwood Mac, and more than Crosby, Stills and Nash, ZZ Top, Bad Company, The Steve Miller Band, Alice Cooper, Genesis, Journey, Def Leppard, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, and a whole lot more)

Foreigner's leader and founder Mick Jones wrote or co-wrote every song, and produced or co-produced every album. He produced Billy Joel's Storm Front and Van Halen's 5150, the career best selling albums of both artists, and he has written songs with artists as diverse as Ozzy Osborne and Eric Clapton with whom he wrote 'Bad Love'. Eric received a Grammy for that one.

The Foreigner rhythm section is Jason Bonham. Jason Bonham is the son of the late John Bonham drummer for Led Zeppelin. Jason will be filling his fathers shoes as the drummer for Led Zeppelin in the comeback line up. He recorded and toured with Jimmy Page on 'Outrider' and founded Bonham whose debut gold album spawned the number one MTV video hit 'Wait For You.'

The band recently co-starred with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Anniston in the Warner Brothers hit movie 'Rock Star'.

Foreigner are expected to play their greatest hits at this exclusive Dubai performance, so look forward to hearing the songs : I Want To Know What Love Is, Waiting For A Girl Like You, Hot Blooded, Urgent, Feels Like The First Time, Juke Box Hero, Cold As Ice, etc.

Tickets for the Dubai performance are priced from Dhs195 standing or seating and Dh400 for the VIP enclosure and are on pre-sale from Wednesday online at ITP tickets.com and Boxofficeme.com.

Doors open at 6:30 PM and the show starts at 9:00 PM at the Dubai Tennis Stadium at the Aviation Club.
